Serial de oro windows 10 professional4/10/2024 The drivers are for windows 7 but work with 10 just fine. Once there you install 7zip to "extract here" via right click for every driver on the system. We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key.Īll drivers are in a single cab file that must be downloaded then moved to my documents folder You activate online using the KEY from the COA label. You F12 boot this dvd and install 10 with generic key. You can use generic home or pro key to install but not activate. SLP 2.0 key in bios is not going to activate 10. WIN10 requires the COA key for win7 HOME OR PRO "windows 7 OEM license evident from the sticker on the front" I tried to get a windows 7 pro iso from microsoft but the stupid site of course requires you to input a product key.Īt any rate, I am running out of options so I'm very much open to suggestions. Does this recovery tool even use the OEM license or is just for making boot media? 2) When I tried using the suggested windows 7 32-bit install (No option for 64-bit, lol) I got an error saying "an error occurred while extracting image file MT5KY_N6N9GA00_W7SP1PRO32_ROW(DL).iso". This didn't work out either because 1) When I used a windows 10 iso it threw an error that there was a problem with the file. I have tried using the Dell OS recovery tool. I tried using gatherosstate.exe to make a GenuineTicket.xml on the windows 10 on my old HDD and feed it to the new install which did nothing. I found out that the sticker with a product key means that it came with built in OEM and I checked the ACPI tables with Read & write Utility to verify that it does indeed have SLIC v2.1 My 7010 appears on the devices panel but still does not activate. I had logged into windows with my microsoft account as was suggested by microsoft. I didn't think windows activation was going to be a problem since I knew that it came with a windows 7 OEM license evident from the sticker on the front, and was subsequently upgraded to windows 10. It says that no product key was found on my device. I was worried that the HDD was dying on me and since the PC is otherwise working just fine for my purposes I decided to upgraded with a SSD.Īfter reinstalling windows 10 the OS would not activate. Buyer beware, but you have options.I bought a optiplex 7010 desktop second-hand like 3 years ago and recently I have been having issues with windows processes running at 100% constantly and general sluggishness. This key came attached to an official Microsoft DVD. Years ago I did successfully upgrade a Win 10 Home (originally Win 8 ) desktop to Pro using a Windows 7 Pro key I purchased on eBay. This article, which also describes the license transfer process, also mentions the discount key marketplace Kinguin, where you can purchase a Windows 10 Pro "online activation key" that should allow you to upgrade your desktop for less money than buying from Microsoft. Doing this would also mean deactivating Windows on the older system, which I'm not sure is your aim. You might be able to extract the key from your older (i7) desktop to do this, but that depends, for lack of a better word, on its lineage. You should be able to easily upgrade your Windows 11 Home desktop to Pro with a valid Pro key from an older version of Windows. Booting the SSD on the other system is potentially fraught with problems and won't accomplish your goal anyway. The Windows 10 Pro license is tied to the system - the motherboard, really, not the SSD. It's the wrong approach to try and transfer your Windows 10 Pro license by transferring the SSD on which it's installed. IT this should have been its own thread, but moving on. Let me know if you need help on any of this. This one took a while, but if you hate Win 11, it's worth the trouble. After that, I would install the registry keys to prevent Win 11 from inadvertantly installing. Then went to Dell and manually downloaded about 20 more until they were all installed. Had 11 items in device manager that needed drivers but after all the Windows 10 updates that went down to 5 items. After getting into Windows I had to get a sh_t ton of drivers. Hated Windows 11!! Deleted ALL the partitions including the recovery partitions, had to manually insert some F6 Drivers prior to the install, but after that it rebooted fine. Do you really care about contacting Dell for anything? Besides, what if someone wanted to do this beyond the stupid warranty anyway?! I literally just downgraded a New Inspiron 15 with Win 11 to Win 10 for a client. You can definitely install Win 10 on your machine. Apparently JOcean and ejn63 cant handle a question like this without thinking outside the box.
